Constructions of Angles without Using a Protractor Constructions of Angles without Using a Protractor Azim Premji University > University Publications > At Right Angles · Nov 16, 2022   Most students enjoy the topic of geometrical constructions using compass and ruler. When it comes to constructing specific angles, we consider only multiples of 15°. Students wonder: what about angles such as 10°, 20°, 40° and 50°? Can we construct these too? In this article, we consider this problem and offer an approximate procedure which yields angles that are reasonably close to the desired measure. So, the solution that we give is not exact. It is assumed that the student knows: (i) how to construct a 60° angle, (ii) how to divide a line segment in a given ratio, using compass and ruler only. I know you all are very curious to know that how these angles will be constructed without using protractor, so to read full article c lick on the link to read published part:  https://publicatio...

Online Education – Its benefits and how it can be improved further.

“ Online Education – No, never. It is just waste of time, it is not going to help our children, we can not risk our children’s academics by relying on online education. My child understands only through face-to-face offline teaching”. All these were reactions and responses of many parents and even of some teachers too. But when you have no choice, you need to choose the only available resource “Online Education” which you need to accept it and adapt to it by taking it as only ray of hope!   Online Education – is way of teaching and learning in a distance mode using internet connection over the various platforms. We learn and make use of various ICT tools as per requirement of our subject and its pedagogies. There are various tools for keeping students records, for connecting with students, for teaching and for assessing and analysing on day-to-day basis. As a mathematics educator I have learned and used some of the best tools like Geogebra, Robocompass, Mathspad, Desmos, ...

Required Changes in Education Field

Hope to see such few good decision in Education Field. Few of suggestions which strikes in my mind. 1. Scrap "No Detension Policy". 2. Scrap " CCE". 3. Introduce & compulsion vocational courses for the students in school Grade VIII onwards. 4. Provide IT/ITI in different trades/Accountancy/TT/HM & many more short term and skill oriented courses parallel to undergraduate course by the college itself. 5. Providing & promoting platform to undergraduate students for "Earn & Learn" concept. 6. Highly qualified should not leave the country, in order to retain talent in our country itself. 7. State Board(in all the states) & CBSE schools should be prompted & should given more weighty  & importance. 8. Research & Development should be prompted in order to implement innovations. 9. Make compulsion that all the children of government employees should be admitted to Govt. Schools only. This will help to improve quality in Gov...
